Awakenings…Let the Adventures Begin!

This is the time to Awaken our inner artist. Whether you are a budding artist, or someone who has avoided painting for a variety of reasons, this is your time to experiment, experience & laugh with friends. Rossina leads us step by step as we create a unique piece of art, ready to take home immediately (fits in the suitcase). She delightfully discusses techniques, colors, art composition, balance, focal points, & connecting with our experiences as we laugh, chat & enjoy the process. Drinks & light snacks will be available while we create & “express ourselves”. An enjoyable way to start the day, you will be so glad that you participated. US Veterans Memorial Museum
Date: Sunday, May 19, 2024
Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Price: $25/each

Join us for a

private tour of the US Veterans Memorial Museum. Tour includes transportation, snacks & museum tour. The Veterans Memorial Museum, operated by the Alabama Center of Military History, is dedicated to promoting and disseminating the accomplishments of American military men and women. The emphasis is on participants of World War I and subsequent conflicts, whose survivors and families can use the Museum facilities to reminisce on their own experiences and those of parents, grandparents, and other close relatives. The Museum displays more than 30 historical military vehicles from World War I to the present, as well as tableaus, artifacts, and other memorabilia dating back to the Revolutionary War.
This is located next to the Shooting Range so you can do both activities!

Bullet & Barrel Indoor Shooting Range
Date: Sunday, May 19, 2024
Time: 3:15pm - 5:00pm

Price: $80/each
Minimum: 15 guests needed

If you are an expert shot or you’ve never held a gun before, this is your chance to try shooting in a safe, clean, and well supervised location. The owner, a local neurosurgeon, has created a location that is “uptown” to practice your expert skills in a great range or for a novice to try something unique in a non-intimidating environment. Experienced Range Officers will be there to guide you through the experience to meet your needs and expectations.

We visited this facility twice before making this recommendation. This is not a macho place, rather an environment where you can try something you may have always wondered….what’s the attraction?

For the more experienced, you are going to say, “I wish we had this nice of facility where I live.”

For the more adventurous we will be able to schedule the virtual scenario training rooms as used by law enforcement to train for “bad guy encounters”. No live fire here, just focused judgement!

Check out the website: www.bulletandbarrell.com

This activity includes transportation to/from the facility, firearm rental, shooting bay buyout, 2 small targets per guest, ear & eye protection and $20 to use towards ammo.

Located next to the Veterans Memorial Museum if you want to do both activities.
