Who We Are & What We Do


WHO WE ARE

The Flying Physicians Association (FPA) is a nationwide community of physician-pilots united by a shared passion for medicine and aviation. We’re dedicated to advancing flight safety, supporting lifelong learning, and engaging in meaningful projects that benefit both fields.

WHAT WE DO

FPA hosts inspiring events throughout the year—including a national summer meeting, a fall regional gathering, and a winter board meeting. Each event blends cutting-edge CME, presentations from renowned aviation leaders, and a wide range of charitable, social, and recreational opportunities for members and their families.

The Flying Physicians Association (FPA) is the world’s premier community of physician-pilots—uniting the fields of medicine and aviation through educational, charitable, and recreational activities.

If you’re a practicing or retired physician (MD or DO), or a medical student who flies—or has ever flown—you’re invited to join us as an Active Member.

Not a pilot? Physicians with a strong interest in aviation are also welcome as Associate Members.
