HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE COCKPIT OF N46TE
Fall has flown by (and so has N46TE). The holidays are upon us and from the cockpit Jerre and I wish each and every one of you “Happy Holidays and New Year”.
The fall certainly kept us busy! We attended all the fall chapter meetings and the AOPA Summit, and our appreciation for FPA has grown by the day. Each chapter meeting was well attended, had good CME, old friendships were renewed and new ones made, and only the Great Lakes Chapter had much in the way of weather issues. Following the Dixie Chapter it was on to our beach home in Apalachicola, Florida with Steve and Pam Towle for 3 days of “rest” prior to AOPA Summit.
We now have an appreciation for what Alice does to prepare for a meeting. We could not have done it without the help of Steve and Pam Towle and it took 3 full days to get ready for AOPA Summit. But then WOW!! Great Flight! Great Venue! Great CME! Lots of new physician interest in FPA. Lots of new experiences learned that can help with future AOPA meetings. We truly think this is a venue that can help with new member recruitment.
Thanks to all you quilt square purchasers out there. 48 squares have been purchased and Jerre is “honing” her quilting skills this winter so expect to see your square on the FPA quilt in June in Kansas City.
As you begin to fill your holiday calendars, save room for the FPA “PHANTOM BALL”. Invitations will be mailed in December so your tax deductible donation can be made in 2009 0r 2010. (Just remember Black Tie is optional for the Phantom Ball)
Have a wonderful holiday season. Jerre and I thank you for the privilege of representing FPA, and it was good to see everyone this fall.
